O Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico Federal (MPF) entrou com uma a\u00e7\u00e3o contra o vereador Sandro Fantinel, de Caxias do Sul (RS), pedindo que ele pague indeniza\u00e7\u00e3o de, no m\u00ednimo, R$ 250 mil por danos morais coletivos pelas ofensas feitas contra trabalhadores nordestinos encontrados em condi\u00e7\u00f5es an\u00e1logas \u00e0 escravid\u00e3o no Rio Grande do Sul.<\/p>\n

Na a\u00e7\u00e3o, o MPF pede que o valor seja destinado a projetos e campanhas contra o trabalho escravo e a xenofobia, ou a iniciativas em Caxias do Sul que promovam a cultura baiana.<\/p>\n

Na \u00faltima ter\u00e7a-feira (28), Fantinel disse, em discurso na tribuna na C\u00e2mara de Vereadores, disse que\u00a0os baianos “vivem na praia, tocando tambor”<\/strong> <\/a> \u00a0e sugeriu que agricultores e empresas agr\u00edcolas contratem trabalhadores argentinos, ao inv\u00e9s de “aquela gente l\u00e1 de cima”, em refer\u00eancia aos nordestinos.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As declara\u00e7\u00f5es foram dadas\u00a0a respeito do resgate de 207 trabalhadores de uma colheita de uva, no \u00faltimo dia 22, em um alojamento em Bento Gon\u00e7alves (RS). Eles foram encontrados em condi\u00e7\u00f5es prec\u00e1rias de trabalho e an\u00e1logas \u00e0 escravid\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0C\u00e2mara Municipal de Caxias do Sul aprovou, por unanimidade, a abertura do processo de cassa\u00e7\u00e3o do vereador<\/strong> <\/a> , que est\u00e1 sem partido ap\u00f3s ser expulso do Patriota devido as declara\u00e7\u00f5es. J\u00e1 a\u00a0Pol\u00edcia Civil da cidade instaurou inqu\u00e9rito para apurar crime de racismo nas falas do parlamentar.\u00a0<\/p>\n
