O ministro da Agricultura, Carlos F\u00e1varo, criticou nesta segunda-feira (26) o Banco Central (BC) por manter a taxa b\u00e1sica de juros (Selic) em 13,75% ao ano<\/a> . Para ele, a autoridade monet\u00e1ria impede o crescimento da economia brasileira. <\/p>\n

“O Banco Central precisa tomar a atitude de decidir se o Brasil vai crescer ou n\u00e3o vai crescer”, afirmou F\u00e1varo a jornalistas ap\u00f3s participar de reuni\u00e3o no Minist\u00e9rio da Fazenda sobre o Plano Safra, que financia a agricultura.<\/p>\n

Na \u00faltima semana, o Comit\u00ea de Pol\u00edtica Monet\u00e1ria (Copom), do Banco Central, manteve a taxa no maior patamar desde 2016 e frustrou expectativas de integrantes do governo ao n\u00e3o indicar redu\u00e7\u00e3o no futuro. <\/p>\n

O BC argumenta que a taxa atual \u00e9 necess\u00e1ria para manter a infla\u00e7\u00e3o dentro da meta estipulada pelo CMN (Conselho Monet\u00e1rio Nacional), que \u00e9 de 3,25% para 2023, com intervalo de toler\u00e2ncia de 1,5 ponto percentual para cima ou para baixo. Ou seja, o limite inferior \u00e9 1,75% e o superior, 4,75%. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

F\u00e1varo deve anunciar nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (17) o Plano Safra, que oferece linhas de cr\u00e9dito subsidiado para a agricultura. Com a taxa b\u00e1sica de juros a 13,75%, isso significa custos maiores para o governo.<\/p>\n

O Plano Safra deste ano deve ser superior a R$ 400 bilh\u00f5es.<\/p>\n
