O Conselho Curador do Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Servi\u00e7o (FGTS) aprovou, nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (25), a suspens\u00e3o tempor\u00e1ria da cobran\u00e7a de financiamentos imobili\u00e1rio contratados com recursos do fundo, no \u00e2mbito de programas de habita\u00e7\u00e3o popular como o Minha Casa, Minha Vida.<\/p>\n

V\u00e1lida por seis meses, a medida pode beneficiar at\u00e9 700 mil fam\u00edlias que, por dificuldades financeiras moment\u00e2neas, n\u00e3o t\u00eam conseguido saldar as parcelas mensais do financiamento.<\/p>\n

\u201cVamos beneficiar 700 mil fam\u00edlias, permitindo que elas se read\u00e9quem para poder continuar fazendo os pagamentos normais\u201d, afirmou o secret\u00e1rio-executivo do Minist\u00e9rio das Cidades, Hildo Rocha, explicando que a suspens\u00e3o tempor\u00e1ria das cobran\u00e7as foi proposta pela Caixa, principal agente financeiro do programa.<\/p>\n

\u201cIsso \u00e9 importante para o mercado e est\u00e1 de acordo com a pol\u00edtica adotada pelo governo federal de garantir o cr\u00e9dito [\u00e0 popula\u00e7\u00e3o]\u201d, acrescentou Rocha, alegando haver estudos que apontam que mais de 90% das fam\u00edlias com dificuldades financeiras tempor\u00e1rias voltam a pagar suas contas em dia se conseguem estender os prazos e, assim, evitar que as d\u00edvidas se acumulem.<\/p>\n

De acordo com o Minist\u00e9rio das Cidades, a medida n\u00e3o acarretar\u00e1 preju\u00edzos nem para os trabalhadores com contas vinculadas ao FGTS, nem para os bancos que pausarem os pagamentos das presta\u00e7\u00f5es, pois os valores pactuados com os clientes inadimplentes ser\u00e1 incorporado ao saldo devedor.<\/p>\n

Tamb\u00e9m a pedido do minist\u00e9rio, o Conselho Curador autorizou que mais R$ 28,85 de recursos do FGTS sejam destinados ao custeio de projetos habitacionais populares. Com a suplementa\u00e7\u00e3o, o or\u00e7amento inicialmente aprovado para este fim, que era de R$ 68,1 bi, saltar\u00e1 para cerca de R$ 97 bilh\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

\u201cSer\u00e1 o maior recurso [montante] nominal aplicado pelo Estado [brasileiro] em habita\u00e7\u00e3o popular, com recursos do FGTS. Quarenta por cento maior que no ano passado. E, sem d\u00favida nenhuma, vai criar um sistema muito positivo, [ajudando a gerar] quase 3 milh\u00f5es de empregos diretos e a movimentar toda uma importante cadeia produtiva\u201d, afirmou Rocha.<\/p>\n
