A Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz) manifestou nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (3) sua preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o quanto aos poss\u00edveis preju\u00edzos para o ambiente e \u00e0 sa\u00fade da popula\u00e7\u00e3o se o projeto de lei (PL) 6.299\/2002, conhecido como o PL do Veneno, for aprovado no Senado.<\/p>\n

Est\u00e1 prevista para esta quarta-feira (4) a vota\u00e7\u00e3o pelos senadores do projeto que modifica as regras de aprova\u00e7\u00e3o e comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o de agrot\u00f3xicos, produtos usados no setor agr\u00edcola para prote\u00e7\u00e3o e aumento das produ\u00e7\u00f5es, mas que t\u00eam potencial de prejudicar a sa\u00fade humana e animal. O PL tramita no Congresso Nacional desde 1999.<\/p>\n

O comunicado foi elaborado por pesquisadores que comp\u00f5em o Grupo de Trabalho Agrot\u00f3xicos e Sa\u00fade da Fiocruz. O grupo foi criado em fevereiro de 2022 para proposi\u00e7\u00e3o e acompanhamento de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas, desenvolvimento t\u00e9cnico cient\u00edfico e demandas dos movimentos sociais para a promo\u00e7\u00e3o, prote\u00e7\u00e3o e o cuidado da sa\u00fade humana, animal e dos ecossistemas, frente aos efeitos nocivos dos agrot\u00f3xicos.<\/p>\n

Dentre os retrocessos destacados pela Fiocruz est\u00e3o a amea\u00e7a \u00e0 fun\u00e7\u00e3o hist\u00f3rica dos minist\u00e9rios da Sa\u00fade e do Meio Ambiente sobre a regula\u00e7\u00e3o dos agrot\u00f3xicos, enfraquecendo o poder de decis\u00e3o sobre o registro desses agentes; a permiss\u00e3o da exporta\u00e7\u00e3o pelo Brasil de agrot\u00f3xicos sem registro e cujo uso \u00e9 proibido em nosso pa\u00eds; e manuten\u00e7\u00e3o do conceito de risco que abre possibilidades, por exemplo, do registro de agrot\u00f3xicos que causem c\u00e2ncer pois pequenas doses podem gerar danos irrevers\u00edveis \u00e0 sa\u00fade das pessoas.<\/p>\n
