O primeiro-ministro do Reino Unido, Rishi Sunak, desembarcou na manh\u00e3 desta quinta-feira (19) em Israel para se encontrar com o premi\u00ea israelense Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a> e o presidente, Isaac Herzog.<\/p>\n

“Acima de tudo, estou aqui para expressar minha solidariedade ao povo israelense. Voc\u00eas sofreram um ato de terrorismo indescrit\u00edvel e horr\u00edvel, e quero que saibam que o Reino Unido e eu estamos com voc\u00eas”, declarou Sunak ap\u00f3s pousar em territ\u00f3rio israelense.<\/p>\n

Sunak deve pedir ainda a abertura de um corredor humanit\u00e1rio, liberta\u00e7\u00e3o de ref\u00e9ns e tentar um acordo para retirar os brit\u00e2nicos que est\u00e3o na regi\u00e3o do conflito.<\/p>\n

\u201cO Reino Unido est\u00e1 trabalhando para garantir que o terrorismo do Hamas n\u00e3o seja um catalisador para uma nova escalada. Todos os esfor\u00e7os devem ser feitos para evitar novas perdas de vidas inocentes\u201d, disse o premi\u00ea brit\u00e2nico nas redes sociais.<\/p>\n

Sunak j\u00e1 se encontrou com Herzog, e afirmou que ambos concordam com “a import\u00e2ncia de obter apoio humanit\u00e1rio urgente aos palestinianos comuns em Gaza que tamb\u00e9m sofrem”.<\/p>\n

Ap\u00f3s o ataque que matou mais de 400 pessoas em um hospital na regi\u00e3o de Gaza na ter\u00e7a-feira (17),<\/a> Sunak afirmou que o “momento \u00e9 divisor de \u00e1guas” e pede para que autoridades se esforcem para evitar \u201cuma nova escalada perigosa do conflito\u201d.<\/p>\n
