O primeiro-ministro de Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, afirmou nesta quinta-feira (19) que a guerra entre seu pa\u00eds e o grupo Hamas “ser\u00e1 longa”. “Esta \u00e9 a guerra moderna contra os b\u00e1rbaros, os piores do planeta. Ser\u00e1 uma guerra longa”, disse ele em pronunciamento ao lado do primeiro-ministro do Reino Unido, Rishi Sunak, que visita Israel.<\/a> <\/p>\n

“Esta n\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas a nossa batalha, \u00e9 a batalha de toda a guerra civilizada, a batalha de Israel, a batalha dos pa\u00edses \u00e1rabes moderados, a batalha do mundo livre, a batalha pelo futuro”, disse Netanyahu.<\/p>\n

O primeiro-ministro ainda acrescentou que grupos como Hamas e Hezbollah<\/a> querem “trazer de volta o Oriente M\u00e9dio \u00e0 Idade M\u00e9dia”, enquanto Israel quer “impulsionar um mundo de paz e prosperidade”.<\/p>\n

A guerra entre Israel e Hamas j\u00e1 matou mais de 5 mil pessoas<\/a> , a maior parte delas na Faixa de Gaza, territ\u00f3rio controlado pelo Hamas. At\u00e9 o momento de publica\u00e7\u00e3o desta mat\u00e9ria, j\u00e1 s\u00e3o 3.785 palestinos mortos, al\u00e9m de 12 mil feridos – do outro lado, 1.400 israelenses foram mortos. <\/p>\n

Na visita a Israel, Sunak reiterou o apoio do Reino Unido ao pa\u00eds, afirmando que deseja que Israel ven\u00e7a a guerra. “Estou orgulhoso de estar aqui com voc\u00eas na hora mais sombria de Israel. Como seu amigo, estaremos com voc\u00ea em solidariedade, estaremos com seu povo e tamb\u00e9m queremos que voc\u00ea ven\u00e7a”, declarou.<\/p>\n
