O primeiro-ministro de Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a> falou sobre a situa\u00e7\u00e3o na Faixa de Gaza ap\u00f3s militares israelenses terem cercado todo o territ\u00f3rio na \u00faltima semana. O premi\u00ea afirmou que \u201cn\u00e3o pretende conquistar Gaza\u201d, em entrevista \u00e0 Fox News na noite de quinta-feira (9).<\/p>\n

O premi\u00ea declarou ainda que os rumores sobre querer ocupar Gaza e a Cisjord\u00e2nia, fazendo com que os palestinos saiam do territ\u00f3rio, \u00e9 inver\u00eddico. \u201cN\u00e3o procuramos deslocar ningu\u00e9m\u201d, disse Netanyahu.<\/p>\n

Ele justifica dizendo que o objetivo da retirada da popula\u00e7\u00e3o do norte de Gaza \u00e9 para colocar os civis em seguran\u00e7a. Isso ocorre porque, segundo as For\u00e7as Israelenses, o centro de opera\u00e7\u00e3o do Hamas fica no norte da regi\u00e3o, e as opera\u00e7\u00f5es militares s\u00e3o mais intensas nessa \u00e1rea.<\/p>\n

Para Netanyahu, a inten\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 fazer com que o Hamas saia de Gaza. \u201cO que temos de ver \u00e9 Gaza desmilitarizada, desradicalizada e reconstru\u00edda. Tudo isso pode ser alcan\u00e7ado\u201d, continuou.<\/p>\n

\u201cN\u00e3o pretendemos conquistar Gaza. N\u00e3o pretendemos ocupar Gaza. E n\u00e3o pretendemos governar Gaza\u201d, acrescentou o premi\u00ea israelense. Ele n\u00e3o indicou que a Autoridade Palestina, que governa a Cisjord\u00e2nia, tamb\u00e9m comandaria o territ\u00f3rio de Gaza.
