O cabo da Pol\u00edcia Militar (PM) Wesley Dias foi indiciado pela PM em raz\u00e3o da morte de um torcedor em setembro de 2023. Segundo a corpora\u00e7\u00e3o, foi aberto um inqu\u00e9rito policial militar que concluiu que o policial cometeu homic\u00eddio culposo [crime praticado sem inten\u00e7\u00e3o]. O resultado foi encaminhado ao Poder Judici\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n

A morte ocorreu durante a comemora\u00e7\u00e3o pela conquista do t\u00edtulo da Copa do Brasil pelo S\u00e3o Paulo, na parte externa do Est\u00e1dio do Morumbi, zona sul paulistana. Na ocasi\u00e3o, os policiais usaram muni\u00e7\u00e3o do tipo bean bag<\/em> contra a multid\u00e3o. O policial autor do disparo que matou o torcedor Rafael Garcia, que tinha 32 anos, foi identificado ap\u00f3s per\u00edcia.<\/p>\n

A muni\u00e7\u00e3o do tipo bean bag<\/em>, que em ingl\u00eas significa saco de feij\u00e3o, \u00e9 constitu\u00edda de pequenas esferas de metal envolvidas por um pequeno saco de tecido sint\u00e9tico, que fica dentro da c\u00e1psula. O tiro \u00e9 disparado por espingarda calibre 12, a uma dist\u00e2ncia m\u00ednima recomend\u00e1vel de seis metros.<\/p>\n

Defeitos<\/h2>\n

Esse tipo de proj\u00e9til vem sendo usado pela PM paulista desde 2021, substituindo balas de borracha, que, segundo a corpora\u00e7\u00e3o, apresentavam defeitos, como desvio na trajet\u00f3ria, causando mais riscos para as pessoas.<\/p>\n

O escrit\u00f3rio Oliveira Campanini Advogados Associados, que representa o policial indiciado, nega que o cabo tenha cometido neglig\u00eancia.<\/p>\n

“A defesa discorda dessa opini\u00e3o, pois o homic\u00eddio culposo \u00e9 configurado por atos de neglig\u00eancia, imprud\u00eancia ou imper\u00edcia no uso do armamento ou no procedimento policial, atos que em momento algum o Cb [cabo] Wesley cometeu”, diz nota dos advogados.<\/p>\n
