O governo de Israel declarou nesta segunda-feira (19) o presidente Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva como “persona non grata”, ou seja, como pessoa indesej\u00e1vel, por conta da compara\u00e7\u00e3o da ofensiva do pa\u00eds contra o Hamas na Faixa de Gaza com o Holocausto.<\/a> <\/p>\n

“N\u00e3o perdoaremos e n\u00e3o esqueceremos. Em meu nome e em nome dos cidad\u00e3os de Israel, informei ao presidente Lula que ele \u00e9 persona non grata em Israel at\u00e9 que pe\u00e7a desculpas e se retrate de suas palavras”, disse o ministro israelense das Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Exteriores, Israel Katz, no X (antigo Twitter).<\/p>\n

A medida foi anunciada ap\u00f3s o chanceler ter repreendido o embaixador brasileiro em Tel Aviv, Frederico Meyer, por conta das declara\u00e7\u00f5es dadas por Lula no encerramento de sua viagem \u00e0 Eti\u00f3pia, no \u00faltimo domingo (18).<\/p>\n

Na ocasi\u00e3o, o presidente afirmou que o conflito na Faixa de Gaza, onde mais de 29 mil pessoas j\u00e1 morreram, segundo o Minist\u00e9rio da Sa\u00fade do enclave, controlado pelo Hamas, n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma guerra, mas sim um “genoc\u00eddio”.<\/p>\n

“O que est\u00e1 acontecendo na Faixa de Gaza com o povo palestino n\u00e3o existe em nenhum outro momento hist\u00f3rico. <\/p>\n

Ali\u00e1s, existiu quando Hitler resolveu matar os judeus”, acrescentou Lula.<\/p>\n

Segundo Katz, “a compara\u00e7\u00e3o do presidente brasileiro entre a guerra justa de Israel contra o Hamas e as a\u00e7\u00f5es de Hitler e dos nazistas, que exterminaram 6 milh\u00f5es de judeus, \u00e9 um grave ataque antissemita que profana a mem\u00f3ria daqueles que morreram no Holocausto”.<\/p>\n

No domingo, o premi\u00ea israelense, Benjamin Netanyahu, j\u00e1 havia definido as declara\u00e7\u00f5es de Lula como “vergonhosas e graves” e dito que as falas cruzaram “uma linha vermelha”.<\/p>\n
