Um estudo chin\u00eas publicado recentemente no peri\u00f3dico cient\u00edfico Frontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology <\/a> mostrou que o jejum intermitente que se abst\u00e9m cerca de 16 at\u00e9 24 horas de comida, ingerindo apenas \u00e1gua, caf\u00e9 e ch\u00e1 pode levar a mudan\u00e7as no c\u00e9rebro. Quem explica \u00e9 o m\u00e9dico neurocirurgi\u00e3o, neurocientista e professor livre docente da Faculdade de Medicina da USP, Dr. Fernando Gomes.<\/p>\n

No estudo foram analisados 25 volunt\u00e1rios obesos por 62 dias. Todos fizeram a dieta de jejum intermitente e al\u00e9m de eliminarem, em m\u00e9dia, cerca de 7kg ou quase 8% do peso corporal. As evid\u00eancias ainda apontam mudan\u00e7as na atividade de regi\u00f5es do c\u00e9rebro relacionadas \u00e0 obesidade e na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de alimentos de bact\u00e9rias intestinais.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs mudan\u00e7as observadas comprovam a liga\u00e7\u00e3o no eixo intestino-c\u00e9rebro, no qual ainda n\u00e3o se sabe ao certo quem influencia quem, mas as altera\u00e7\u00f5es na atividade cerebral – detectadas atrav\u00e9s de exames de resson\u00e2ncia magn\u00e9tica funcional -ocorreram em regi\u00f5es que atuam na regula\u00e7\u00e3o do apetite e do v\u00edcio, que acontecem ne regi\u00e3o cerebral do giro orbital frontal inferior. Foram observadas ainda altera\u00e7\u00f5es do microbioma intestinal, analisadas atrav\u00e9s de amostras de fezes e medi\u00e7\u00f5es de sangue\u201d, comenta Dr. Fernando.<\/p>\n

Os cientistas do estudo acreditam que o microbioma intestinal se comunica com o c\u00e9rebro de uma forma complexa e bidirecional j\u00e1 que observaram que o microbioma produz neurotransmissores e neurotoxinas que acessam o c\u00e9rebro atrav\u00e9s dos nervos e da circula\u00e7\u00e3o sangu\u00ednea. \u201cO que nos comprova ent\u00e3o que o jejum intermitente al\u00e9m de ajudar na perda de peso, pode auxiliar para o c\u00e9rebro trabalhe mais a favor do controle alimentar e assim evite as compuls\u00f5es por alimentos em excesso que levam a obesidade\u201d, finaliza o m\u00e9dico.<\/p>\n
