O primeiro ministro de Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, discursou nesta segunda-feira (27) ao Parlamento do pa\u00eds e comentou o ataque a um campo de refugiados em Rafah, no Sul de Gaza, que j\u00e1 deixou pelo menos 45 mortos. Segundo ele, foi um \u201cincidente tr\u00e1gico\u201d, que est\u00e1 sendo investigado.<\/p>\n

“Em Rafah, retiramos um milh\u00e3o de habitantes que n\u00e3o estavam envolvidos e, apesar de todos os nossos esfor\u00e7os, ontem [domingo] ocorreu um incidente tr\u00e1gico. Estamos investigando o que aconteceu e vamos tirar conclus\u00f5es”, disse ele.<\/p>\n

O ataque a\u00e9reo provocou um inc\u00eandio no bairro de Tel Al-Sultan, onde milhares de pessoas estavam abrigadas depois que as for\u00e7as Israelenses iniciaram uma ofensiva terrestre no leste de Rafah h\u00e1 mais de duas semanas.<\/p>\n

Muitos dos mortos eram mulheres e crian\u00e7as, disseram as autoridades de sa\u00fade, acrescentando que o n\u00famero de \u00f3bitos provavelmente aumentar\u00e1, pois alguns ficaram em estado cr\u00edtico com queimaduras graves.<\/p>\n

Israel manteve os ataques a Rafah, apesar de uma decis\u00e3o do principal tribunal da Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas (ONU) na sexta-feira, ordenando que parassem, argumentando que a decis\u00e3o da corte lhe concede alguma margem para a\u00e7\u00e3o militar no local.<\/p>\n

Cerca de 36 mil\u00a0palestinos foram mortos at\u00e9 o momento na ofensiva israelense, segundo autoridades de sa\u00fade. Israel lan\u00e7ou a opera\u00e7\u00e3o depois que militantes liderados pelo Hamas atacaram comunidades do sul do pa\u00eds em 7 de outubro, matando cerca de 1.200 pessoas e fazendo mais de 250 ref\u00e9ns, de acordo com os registros israelenses.<\/p>\n
