O ministro da Fazenda, Fernando Haddad, pretende buscar um apoio de peso na proposta do Brasil de taxar os super-ricos. Nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (4), o ministro chega a Roma, onde conversar\u00e1 com o papa Francisco sobre a proposta apresentada pelo Brasil, que ocupa a presid\u00eancia do G20 (grupo das 19 maiores economias do planeta, mais Uni\u00e3o Europeia e Uni\u00e3o Africana) em fevereiro.<\/p>\n

O ministro embarcou na noite dessa segunda-feira (3) para a capital italiana<\/strong> e retornar\u00e1 ao Brasil na quarta-feira (5) no fim do dia, chegando a S\u00e3o Paulo na quinta-feira (6). Al\u00e9m da audi\u00eancia com o papa Francisco, Haddad participar\u00e1 da confer\u00eancia Enfrentando a Crise da D\u00edvida no Sul Global, co-organizada pela Universidade de Columbia e pela Pontif\u00edcia Academia de Ci\u00eancias Sociais, ligada ao Vaticano<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Na audi\u00eancia com o papa, Haddad apresentar\u00e1 os avan\u00e7os da presid\u00eancia brasileira do G20, com destaque para a taxa\u00e7\u00e3o de grandes fortunas, a luta contra a crise clim\u00e1tica, a trag\u00e9dia clim\u00e1tica no Rio Grande do Sul e a crise da d\u00edvida dos pa\u00edses do sul global. O ministro tamb\u00e9m pretende debater uma posi\u00e7\u00e3o coordenada entre o Brasil e o Vaticano em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 C\u00fapula do G7 (grupo dos sete pa\u00edses democr\u00e1ticos mais ricos), que ocorrer\u00e1 em Fasano, na It\u00e1lia, de 13 a 15 de junho. O hor\u00e1rio da reuni\u00e3o n\u00e3o foi divulgado.<\/p>\n

Um dos temas priorit\u00e1rios na trilha financeira do G20, a taxa\u00e7\u00e3o de at\u00e9 2% dos rendimentos das maiores fortunas do planeta \u00e9 vista como oportunidade de reduzir a desigualdade social e combater os efeitos das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas.<\/strong> Recentemente, Haddad disse que a proposta est\u00e1 ganhando a ades\u00e3o de diversos pa\u00edses e que pode entrar como recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o das reformas propostas pela Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o para a Coopera\u00e7\u00e3o e Desenvolvimento Econ\u00f4mico (OCDE).<\/p>\n

Na embaixada brasileira em Roma, Haddad ter\u00e1 reuni\u00e3o bilateral com o ministro da Economia da Espanha, Carlos Cuerpo. No encontro, previsto para as 17h desta ter\u00e7a (12h em Bras\u00edlia), os dois debater\u00e3o oportunidades de coopera\u00e7\u00e3o em \u00e1reas de interesse m\u00fatuo. A Espanha apoia a proposta de taxa\u00e7\u00e3o dos super-ricos, assim como Fran\u00e7a, B\u00e9lgica, Col\u00f4mbia e Uni\u00e3o Africana. Os Estados Unidos, no entanto, reconhecem a necessidade de alguma medida de redu\u00e7\u00e3o da desigualdade global, mas rejeitam, at\u00e9 agora, a proposta.<\/p>\n

Pa\u00edses pobres<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Na confer\u00eancia sobre a crise da d\u00edvida em pa\u00edses pobres, Haddad<\/a> ressaltar\u00e1 o compromisso do Brasil com a busca de solu\u00e7\u00f5es para os desafios econ\u00f4micos enfrentados por pa\u00edses em desenvolvimento. Segundo o Fundo Monet\u00e1rio Internacional (FMI), dos 68 pa\u00edses de menor renda, nove n\u00e3o conseguem pagar a d\u00edvida externa e 51 est\u00e3o com risco moderado ou alto de entrar em morat\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n

De acordo com a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas, 19 pa\u00edses em desenvolvimento gastam mais em juros da d\u00edvida p\u00fablica do que com educa\u00e7\u00e3o e 45 mais do que com a sa\u00fade.<\/strong> Conforme a Pontif\u00edcia Academia de Ci\u00eancias Sociais, o problema piorou ap\u00f3s a pandemia de covid-19.<\/p>\n
